I’m back with an other quick video from Bob Singer at Tracappraisals with regard to FHA appraisal inspection. There is a common mis-conception about FHA loans. Many folks out there, realtor and borrower alike are under the impression that the FHA will be sending an inspector out to the property to make sure that it will pass muster. This is not true. The appraiser will be conducting an inspection just like any other appraisal, but there are some extra pieces that they will consider. Take a look at this video with Bob Singer as he inspects the bathroom.
In this credit market it has become increasingly important to work with a mortgage professional who understands that closing your home loan requires much more than it did a few years ago. Whether you are refinancing, or purchaing your first, second or fifth home, here are some reasons to work with me:
Rare Industry Experience: I spent 9 years working on the "bank-side" of the mortgage business as a wholesale mortgage professional. I have been training mortgage brokers in the Bay Area to underwrite and package their loans for all the top lenders.
Incredible Service: Unlike your bank, home finance is the only thing I do. I can also meet with you after regular work hours or on the weekend.
Aggressive Pricing: Guarantee Mortgage is one of the largest independent mortgage brokers on the West Coast. This means that we are able to deliver large volume to our lending partners and pass on the great pricing that we receive to our customers.
Government Loan Specialist: If you are looking for a government (VA or FHA) loan, you cannot find a more experienced loan professional. I have been training brokers in this area on this subject since the increase in loan limits made these loans popular in the Bay Area.
That’s cool, Jay! I am waiting to hear the outcome of my FHA Appraisal as we speak. I can’t help being apprehensive.

Hey Jay,
Great reminder, many agents don’t remember or don’t know that the appraiser on an FHA loan check all of the systems. If everything is not right it will cause a re-inspection and in many instances a delay.

Knowledge breeds confidence. As long as we all know what we’re up against, we shouldn’t be afraid of an FHA offer!
